Sadashiva Brahman is famous as a great mystic of India. He was a monumental example of a jivanmukta . Much about him, including the dates of his life are veiled in the cloudy past of the mid-centuries of India, yet to be researched. His songs, however, mostly in Sanskrit language, are well-known for their spiritual and devotional content and they are sung almost by every musician who performs Carnatic music. An account, which draws from the folklore in a certain detail is available at Mysticism and Spirituality par excellence.
