Hi Sabbut, A good habit would be editing the topics you are familiar with (especially when it comes to deleting something). Mikkalai 23:34, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Great work!

Hi Sabbut! Thanks for the great work you have done on the Spanish General Elections! Regards from a Norwegian student in Barcelona :) --Vikingstad 21:26, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Not at all!

Hello Sabbut. You must be the master deleter here - while others are trying to build an ecyclopedia. What is wrong with the entry Redondo?

[edit] esTotW

Since you put your name down as a spanish to english traslator i thought you might be interested in the new Spanish translation of the week collaboration project. This weeks collaboration is Género chico.(Disclosure: this is a bit of a "mass mailing", I'm working my way down the list of Spanish-to-English translators.)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Wikipedia:Spanish Translation of the Week

I would like to revive this project. I noticed that you've added yourself to the list of available Spanish-to-English translators. Are you interested in working on Spanish Translation of the Week? — J3ff 06:20, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, these days I'm very busy and I'm not doing much work even in the Spanish Wikipedia. I may help a little, however. Sabbut 07:41, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yu-Gi-Oh! in Spanish

Do you know if Yu-Gi-Oh! manga (Japanese comic) is published in Spanish? WhisperToMe 02:48, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, Sabbut :)

After I started "Yu-Gi-Oh!", I noticed that "Yu-Gi-Oh" was already there. But "Yu-Gi-Oh!" is the proper title, so I redirected that to "Yu-Gi-Oh!" and reworked the article to focus on the manga names that Planete DeAugostino uses (Viz in the USA, Kana in France, and Carlsen in Germany also use the Japanese names in the manga). [edit] Macrons

I don't understand why people on the Spanish Wikipedia place macrons in Japanese people's names when they aren't normally used (e.g. Junichiro Koizumi). One should have macrons in the Romanization next to the Japanese characters of the person's name (e.g. the "Koizumi Junichiro" you see next to the kanji), but general references shouldn't have macrons. WhisperToMe 06:26, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Perhaps what can be done on ES is this:

 • if a figure appears on the news, the form of the name used in Spanish-language media is most often used.
 • If it is a character in a TV show or a video game, one should use one of the official naming sets (e.g. the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga published by Planeta DeAgostini has one, and the 4Kids anime is another)
 • If it is an author, one should use the form used most commonly in the books published in Spanish.
 • A name of a Japanese person well-known in the Spanish-speaking would should be rendered the way it is usually rendered.
 • If it is a place name in Japan, it should be rendered as most Spaniards would render the name.
 • All other names should use standard Hepburn. WhisperToMe 01:17, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

--Waninoco 00:28, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Por cierto, deberían haber ganado Las Supremas, ¿no? ¿Qué opinas? --Waninoco 00:42, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
