"Sabrina Batshon deserves special mention. Sabrina entertained the Schools Spectacular audience with I've Got The Music In Me and I Surrender. She sang at a function I hosted here a few months ago, and she knocked the audience into the aisles... I am sure we will soon be hailing her as one of the greatest performers in the world." • Despite Batshon's illegibility at the 2001 Cabaret Convention due to age; she was a featured artist due to her amazing talent as an entertainer and singer.
"One of the most memorable moments at the Gala Night was the unprogrammed performance by Sabrina Batshon who's rendition of 'Papa' was strong, passionate and dynamic. She looked like a little princess dressed in purple and when back announced by Geraldine as being only 16 years of age the sudden murmur around the room and movement of chairs as people picked themselves up off the floor was a true recognition of this outstanding talent. This explains her new Cabaret Convention nick-name 'The Kid'."- Sydney Cabaret Convention

She received a standing ovation and went on to star in 'The Wizard of Oz.'

  • Nick Cerrone, jeweller to the stars, heard Batshon singing, 'Piece of Sky,' from Barbra Streisand's 'Yentl' on the radio; the morning of her TDP graduation. He got her in contact with Marty Erlichman after hearing her rendition.
