Sabreen al-Janabi is a Iraqi woman that was allegedly raped by described being beaten and raped by members of the Iraqi Security Forces. She has come forward to the press and has made her claim that she was arrested and raped at the local police station on February 18, 2007. She said the Americans had rescued her from the officers and gave her medical treatment. The Iraqi Siite-led government said the Americans would show the woman’s claims to be false, but the American military said only that it was investigating the charges. [1]
