Sabalito

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sabalito is a small town of fewer than a hundred houses in the county of Tilarán, province of Guanacaste of Costa Rica. The local population is mostly employed in the local ranches and farms or in other manual labor. The town has two small stores. Due to its vicinity to Lake Arenal, only 2 miles away, and the high average wind speeds in the winter months, Sabalito attracts an influx of windsurfers that time of the year. Because of the altitude of about 2000ft the climate, even though this is in the tropics, is not very hot. Highest temperature ever registered is 94F. There is another town of the same name in the South of Costa Rica and there is one in Columbia.
