Sa'adat Abad

Sa'adat Abad (Persian: سعادت آباد ) is a neighbourhood located North of Shahrak-e Gharb.It is one of the working class neighbourhoods of Tehran and actually houses many of the poor who cannot afford to live in Shemiranat, Farmanieh or Kamranieh, based at Kaj (Pine) Square, it underwent a very rapid growth since the 1990's. Sa'adat Abad's Kaj Square is home to two shopping centers "Citation Needed", although incomparable with Shahrak Gharb district's Malls, Kaj Square is famous for its large number of restaurants Citation Needed, you can find as many as thirty cheap fast food restaurants and Coffee Shops in a 100 meter Distance heading north and south from Kaj Square. Sa'dat Abad has better air quality in comparison to other Tehran's neighbourhoods, though it is being congested with traffic recently. This area is also close to the Evin district which contains the biggest prison in Iran Evin Prison. Sa'adat Abad also contains the Tehran International School (Boys Section) located in Farhang square. The school consists of three hundred students and is a registered I.B (International Baccalaureate School). Sa'adat Abad houses the cheapest residential properties in Tehran Northern Tehran, property value is usually as much as one third of that of neighborhoods such as Fereshteh in Elahyeh, Kamranieh, Farmanieh and Niavaran.
