Súľov Rocks

The Súľov Rocks (Slovak: Súľovské skaly) are one of the most significant areas of natural beauty in Slovakia. They are located in the Bytča District, Žilina Region. Rocky crags seem to take the shape of towers, cones, needles, gates, and some individual rocks resemble figures or animals. There is a great variety of fauna and flora on Súľov territory.
The Súľov Rocks are frequently visited by tourists, bikers and climbers. Hiking is adequately strenuous with several hour walks with 300–500 m difference of elevation. During the last two decades real paradise for climbers have been created in Súľov and today it belongs to the most interesting areas in Central Europe.
