Sébaco
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sébaco is a municipality in the Matagalpa department of Nicaragua.
Situated at the junction of the Pan-American Highway and the Rio Grande de Matagalpa, Sébaco is the largest town of the agricultural valley of the same name. The Sébaco valley is some of the most fertile land in Nicaragua. Vegetable fields stretch as far as the eye can see to the west. 5 km further north, a highway branches east from the Pan-American towards the city of Matagalpa.
In the Nahuatl language, Sébaco means "Serpent Woman".
