Séan McCann (musician)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Séan McCann (May 22, 1968 in Carbonear, Newfoundland, Canada) is a singer and musician (playing bodhran, shakers, tin whistle and guitar) in the band Great Big Sea.

When he was a child, his family moved to St. John's where he still lives today. He was raised Roman Catholic. [1]

He met up with his current bandmates at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he left his pursuit of a Master's degree in Folklore unfinished when Great Big Sea was formed.
