Séamus Kirk

Séamus Kirk (born 1945) is an Irish Fianna Fáil party politician who has served for more than twenty years in the Oireachtas, as a TD for Louth.
Born in Drumkeith, County Louth, Kirk is married, with three sons and one daughter. He was a farmer before entering politics.
Kirk was first elected in the November 1982 general election, to the 24th Dáil. He has been returned in each subsequent election, in 1987, 1989, 1992, 1997 and 2002.
He was Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food from 1997 to 1992.
