Sæglópur (Icelandic for "Lost at Sea") is a song by Sigur Rós, released in 2006 as a single from the 2005 album Takk.... While the vocals towards the end of the song are in Icelandic, this song is almost entirely sung in Hopelandic, a language created by the band itself to sound similar to Icelandic.

[edit] Music video
The music video for the song track is not unlike the other music video of Hoppípolla in that it remains similar to the story of the song. It depicts the drowning of a young child, who is, towards the end of the video, rescued and, as in the Glósóli film clip, whether or not the child survives is a decision to the watcher.
[edit] EP
The Sæglópur EP, a DVD/CD doublepack of Sæglópur, was released July 10, 2006 for most of the world, with a few countries getting it at a later date. It included Sæglópur and three new songs, as well as the music videos for Glósóli, Hoppípolla, and Sæglópur itself.
[edit] Track listing
- "Sæglópur" (8:12)
- "Refur" (2:45)
- "Ó Fridur" (4:48)
- "Kafari" (6:11)
[edit] Supporting tracks
- Refur: a quiet song, relative to some of the band's more bombastic moments, focusing mainly on the piano.
- Ó Fridur: a unique song that is further from the band's norm than usual; its focus is on the string instruments, which create in this song a 'trembling' feel. Many fans feel this is the band's best post-Takk... song to date.
- Kafari: this song has the lightest feel of the album, with the focus on chimes.
