São Sebastião do Caí

São Sebastião do Caí is a city near to Porto Alegre in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It has a population of about 25,000 inhabitants. The principle university is the University of Caxias do Sul, often abbreviated to UCS. Through the middle of the city runs the river São Sebastião do Caí, the source of which is in the mountains of São Francisco de Paula and it empties into the Guaíba Lake.
