Ryu (rapper)

Ryu (born Ryan Maginn) is a member of the hip hop ensemble Styles of Beyond. Born in Compton, California in 1975, he is also associated with the Demigodz and Fort Minor. Ryu resides in Compton, California with his wife and children.

- Ryu performed at rap freestyle battles in Los Angeles with Eminem and both became friends.
- Ryu met his current bandmate Takbir "Tak" Bashir (commonly known simply as 'Tak') while attending Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California.
- Ryu actually recorded parts for a version of Linkin Park's track WTH>You from Reanimation. However the track was never used.
- Styles of Beyond has been signed in the past to the Crystal Method's record label Hi-Ho Records.
