Will someone please explain to me what this photograph shows. The image is too small for me to make out any clear discription. It appears that Siwiec is performing self-immolation, but what confuses me is that nobody in the picture seems to be doing anything. Some people aren't even watching. What's going on?

He's already on fire. You can see the flame over his head and the left side of his body (on the picture: right). You are right: not everybody's watchin at him. Siwiec made it during a festival. It was very noisy (music) so some people didn't notice the accident instantly. But the audience (above) is clearly running away.
