Plaque dedicated to Ryszard Siwiec at Stadion Dziesięciolecia in Warsaw. Taken by ProhibitOnions, 2006.

The plaque reads:

In this stadium on 8 September 1968, during a harvest festival, RYSZARD SIWIEC, lawyer from Przemyśl, soldier of the Home Army, poured gasoline over himself and set himself on fire in protest against the Polish participation in the armed intervention in Czechoslovakia of five countries of the Warsaw Pact. He died on 12 September 1968.
He gave his life for freedom.
