Ryland Steen

Ryland David-Burton Steen (a.k.a. "The Rabbit" or "Xylophone") (born Aug 31, 1980) is the current drummer for the California-based ska punk band, Reel Big Fish. Reel Big Fish first met Steen at an Erine Ball Battle of the Bands when he was playing with his current band of the time. Reel Big Fish was juging the competition and gave him and his band a perfect score. Ryland's band won the contest and the $35,000 prize. Reel Big Fish stayed in touch with him and later gave him a full-time postion as their drummer. He was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, he moved to California at age 19 and has gone on to tour and/or record with Maroon 5, The Summer Obsession, The Elected, Start Trouble, Free Moral Agents, Suburban Legends, Audiovent, Mt. Egypt, TEA, and Orange County cult legends Square.
