[edit] Image:Brad Childress.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Brad Childress.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytny (talk) 23:40, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Roseau

Thanks for fixing Roseau River, that was a careless cut and paste on my part. Kmusser 16:19, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem! Glad I could help out. RyguyMN 23:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar reply

You do good work! If only someone would do the same work for Oklahoma, Missouri, and South Dakota (three states with lots of "county" issues). Later /Timneu22 01:23, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AWA

Hi. First let me thank you for the link you added to Sports in Minnesota, a great help to the Minneapolis article. Second are you sure the American Wrestling Association really needed to be removed? I looked at their Web site and the infobox and information in their Wikipedia article and easily could have made a mistake...-Susanlesch 07:07, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

The AWA is part of Minnesota and was a contributer to the growth of wrestling in the 1980's. The statement that the WWF bought the AWA is false. The AWA disbanded in the early 1990's (1991?). RyguyMN 21:43, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
  • I am willing to bet AWA in some form is alive under another name and probably another city, likely Rochester MN, but a phone call could say for sure. I have restored it to the Minneapolis article from 1960 until the 1990s. Its history is more than I have time to research at the moment over and above the new citation which seems fine. This timeline for example puts another AWA in Boston, then Ohio. Anyway it's good the WWE error has been corrected in two places. Thanks and best wishes. -Susanlesch 22:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
You're right Suanlesch, the AWA based in Rochester is under the same name, but is loosely based on the original AWA. Today's AWA is broken up into different territories across the country. I have a general knowledge of the history of the AWA and restling in general, but what you have looks good so far. RyguyMN 22:58, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 1967 tornadoes

Nice job on that! Has that NWS page even really been relased yet? I hadn't seen it. I'll see what else I can find about it but I've found that finding information on stuff that old can be tough (except for the 1965 ones in the Twin Cities area). Also FYI in case you're interested, I actually emailed the NWS and asked if they have any images of the Comfrey - St. Peter outbreak. They don't have any online. I can't believe how few pictures there are of that considering it was just a few years ago. They do have some non-digital prints of the damage that they will eventually scan to the web when they make a 10 year anniversary page though. Gopher backer 03:49, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
