Hi RyGuy, welcome to Wikipedia! I'm sorry I couldn't reach you earlier; I saw your message but had to leave. Anyways, you said you can't "even" make one of those boxes I have, but, if you look around, you rarely see them. Technically, you can't just do the same as with userboxes, you have to do a lot more. Me, I copied mine from User:Arad (I recommend you read his too in order to have a better idea of what to write in yours.
Once you know what you want to write, you have to do the following:
  1. Copy the this onto your page (click edit to view):

60 percent means 60 percent of the screen; 3px black means the border is 3px and is black; LemonChiffon is the background color; then there is the font color, which I have on black.
  1. Then, proceed to write in your questions. Three apostrophes before and after will make everything in between Bold. Two will make it Italics.
  2. When you're done, copy this onto your page (click edit to view):

I don't know what all of it means, but is to have the font color you selected above engaged.
  1. If you want to change the colors, just select one from here.
  2. Try to do everything in one edit, otherwise, your page will be a temporal mess. One way to prevent this is to just copy what goes at the top:
    <div ect. and what goes at the bottom: . ect., this will make it not extend down to the bottom of the page.
  3. If you need to, you can press "edit" on the section I have my box in to see more detailed (and complicated) "instructions".

Sorry I had to add a box to explain how to make one, I didn't know that was going to happen. You can erase it later when you have yours. To see the "phrases" that make the box happen, click edit, as they can only be viewed in the editor; I separated the phrases from the rest of the text to make them easier to spot. Wow Ry, that was quick! Isn't that a great improvement? Your page looks much more colorful and attractive now. I'm glad I could help you, it was fun too. Hey Ryan, I notice you have a message at the top saying you can erase other people's messages, and also that you deleted my welcome message yesterday. That's OK - but I oughta let you know, a lot of people find it quite rude when people erase messages. I don't mind, but some people will. The best thing to do is to archive your page if you feel it's getting too long.
Great to see you're getting handy with Wikimarkup, too!

Yesterday night, I designed a lifting mechanism for my Lego elevator. It's just some Lego: Crazy Creator pieces and string.... and it works! ....now to complete the shaft.... RyGuy 13:56, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello RyGuy, I can see your wikibreak is over. I just wanted to tell you that I've found out how to remove the box above, and still be able to see the instructions I gave you. All you have to do, is write <nowiki> before the text that creates the box, and </nowiki> after the same text. Well, I want to make a new page for userboxes and such and turn my userpage into kinda what your's is. I like it RyGuy 14:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, ok. All you have to do is (in the search box) type in User:RyGuy/Example Page (after the slash, you can put in whatever you like). Then, they ask you "this page does not exist. Would you like to create it?". Click on the red "create" button, and start editing. After you're done, just add a link to it on your userpage.
