Dominic A. A. Randolph is currently the Assistant Headmaster at The Lawrenceville School, in Lawrenceville, NJ (http://www.lawrenceville.org). Randolph is a graduate of the school (class of 1980). Starting July 1, 2007, he will assume the Headmaser position at Riverdale Country School, the Bronx, New York (http://www.riverdale.edu).

Dominic Randolph '80 has been a member of the Lawrenceville community since 1977, when he joined the School as a Third Former. A native of south central England (although born in Trenton, New Jersey), Randolph received his bachelor's degree in English and American Language and Literature in 1985 and his Master's in Education in 1995, both from Harvard University (http://www.harvard.edu).

Randolph returned to Lawrenceville in 1997 as a teacher in the English and Interdisciplinary Departments and was promoted to Dean of Studies two years later. In 2004, he was named the School's Assistant Head Master, instrumental in Lawrenceville's operational management. Among his many duties are the development of the School's curriculum and supervision of the School's Academic Support Program, Advisors to International Students, Bunn Library, Multicultural Affairs Department, Communications Department, Information Technology Services Department, Public Safety Department, and the Registrar's Office.

Randolph chairs the School's Lecture Committee and is a member of the Senior Staff and the Gifts and Grants Committee. He recently managed a review of the Lawrenceville Humanities program, and has developed plans for both an International Leadership Program at the School. Randolph continues to serve as a student advisor and helps coach the Big Red fencing squad, which he captained as a Fifth Former.

Randolph brings more than a decade of international teaching experience to his alma mater, having instructed and served as an administrator in schools in Italy, Saudi Arabia, and The Netherlands. He is also an accomplished writer, artist, and singer, who has performed in several Italian operas, including The Marriage of Figaro.

The Randolph family is an important part of the School community. Randolph's wife, Kris, is a Lawrenceville Spanish and French master, their daughter, Elsa, is member of the Class of 2006, and his brother Adrian was a 1983 graduate.
