Ryan Theriot (born December 7, 1979 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) played college baseball at Louisiana State University and is an infielder for the Chicago Cubs.
A natural shortstop, Theriot has also played backup third base and second base for the Cubs. On September 17,2006, Theriot hit two home runs in a game versus the Cincinnati Reds. He is considered to be one of the Chicago Cubs best young position players. He is also one of the fastest and best base stealers for the Cubs.
