Ryan Magnussen

In 1995, Ryan Magnussen founded Zentropy, Inc., a Hollywood based interactive ad agency. Over a four-year period, Mr. Magnussen built Zentropy into the 5th largest interactive agency in the U.S. Mr. Magnussen sold Zentropy in 1999 to Interpublic Group, the advertising agency conglomerate. In 2001,Zentropy was folded into the MRM division of McCann Erickson. [1]
Ryan Magnussen founded Ripe Digital Entertainment (RDE) in 2002. RDE creates On Demand Television networks that consumers can watch anytime and anywhere, over cable TV, broadband and mobile. RDE was the first to charge television advertisers on a cost per view basis (CVV) where the advertisements are inserted into programming with measurement of actual viewership. To date, RDE has launched two multiplatform On Demand TV networks, RipeTV and OctaneTV.[2]
Ripe Digital Entertainment received $32 million in Series B financing from Hearst-Argyle, Time Warner Investments, Columbia Capital LLC, and Rho Venture.[3][www.ripedigital.com] [www.ripetv.com][www.octanetv.com]
Mr. Magnussen is a 1995 graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business.
