From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ruth Lemos (January 12, 1947 – ) is a Brazilian nutritionist and a university teacher.

She became widely known in Brazil because of a TV interview for a local network of TV Globo in Recife, in which occurred technical problems with her headphones, causing her to stutter a lot and say things in a funny way, like "sanduíche-íche", "nutitritritrivo", "qualidadidivídi", etc. Although the interview was to a local network, it was quickly spread over the Internet, making her fame nationwide.

Ever since, she became known as the Sandwich Lady ("Mulher do sanduíche") or Sandwich-ich Lady ("Mulher do sanduíche-iche"). She attracted a huge base of fans and followers, not to mention a great number of websites dedicated to her.
