Ruth Jean Dale is the pen name of Betty Duran, a popular American author of romance novels.

Duran has collaborated in the past with author Margaret Brownley to create mini-series which feature the same characters. Duran collaborated with Jean Stribling to write Extra! Extra! Betty Duran, aka Ruth Jean Dale, does not use the pseudonym Jean Stribling. Jean Stribling is a REAL PERSON and she writes under her own name, including Sweet Revenge, Harper Collins 1993.
