Ruth Cameron is the co-ordinator of Stop Climate Chaos Scotland,[1] the devolved Scottish wing of Stop Climate Chaos, and served as President of Edinburgh University Students' Association from 2005-2006.
In 2005, she was appointed a "Climate Change Ambassador" in the Ben & Jerry's Climate Change College,[2] a joint project by the ice cream manufacturers and the environmental group WWF. She was also awarded an internship at the Observer newspaper[3] after an award-winning tenure as editor of Edinburgh's Student newspaper.
Cameron is Convenor of the Scottish Young Greens, and has been named third on the Scottish Green Party's regional list in Lothian for the 2007 Scottish Parliament election.[4]
