Rusty Kuntz

Russell Jay "Rusty" Kuntz (born Friday February 4, 1955, in Orange, California) was a Major League Baseball (MLB) designated hitter and outfielder. He is an alumnus of California State University, Stanislaus.

Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 11th round of the 1977 MLB amateur draft, Kuntz would make his Major League Baseball debut with the White Sox on September 1, 1979, and appear in his final game on April 24, 1985.

Kuntz was a member of the Detroit Tigers team that defeated the San Diego Padres in the 1984 World Series. He drove in the game winning run of game 5, the series clincher for Detroit.
