Russia in the Shadows

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Russia in the Shadows is a book written by the famous science fiction writer H. G. Wells. It was first published in 1920. Unlike his more famous books, like The War of the Worlds and The Time Machine, it is non-fiction and tells of Wells' travels in the newly formed communist state, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), which had replaced the Russian Empire. It tells of his meetings with Lenin, Maxim Gorky and others. The second to last chapter contains an interview with Lenin.
