The Russell family is a middle class African American family living in the fictional town of Harmony on the NBC daytime drama Passions. The Crane family and the Russell family had a feud for a number of years. T.C. hated the Cranes because he blamed Julian for his injuries in a hit and run accident in his youth that destroyed his chances of being a professional tennis star (in reality T.C.'s future wife Eve was driving while intoxicated). Julian's father Alistair Crane was deeply racist and hated that his son had fathered a child with a black woman (later made ironic by Alistair's rape and impregnation of Eve's adopted half-sister).

  • T.C. Russell is the son of Reggie Russell and an unknown woman. He is currently a tennis coach at the local high school. In his youth, he was a promising tennis player until Eve during a drunken night with Jullian caused a car accident which ended his tennis career. Unbeknownst of her past (Eve also didn't remember) T.C. soon started to be involved with Eve but ended in divorce in 2004 when T.C. learned that Eve had a sordid past involving drugs, booze and Julian Crane and soon started to hook up with Eve's half-sister Liz. T.C and Eve tried to reconcile with her but it fell through. He has two children Whitney and Simone (with Eve).
  • Eve Johnson is the daughter of Ruby Lincoln and her first husband Warren Johnson. Growing up she had a passion for singing and met and fell in love with a young Jullian Crane some thirty odd years ago, a path which led into alcohol, drugs and sex. When Eve became pregnant, Jullian thanks to the encouragement of his father abandoned Eve. Allegedly Alistair faked the child's death but this has yet to be proven. Eve moved on and turned her life around, becoming a doctor and marrying T.C. When her past caught up to her, as well as a rekindled flame for Julian, T.C divorced her and for a time ended up with her sister Liz. She has two children with T.C, Whitney and Simone.
  • Liz Sanbourne is the adopted daughter of Ruby Lincoln and her second husband Mr. Sanbourne thus she is the adopted half-sister of Eve. She was sexually abused by her father and greatly despises Eve, who left home to be a singer in Boston, unaware of what was going on back home. Liz plotted to pay Eve back by letting everyone know of Eve's past. Finally all of Eve's sordid past came out and disgraced her in the eyes of T.C, who at which point divorced Eve and for a time became involved with Liz. Liz was later poisoned by Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane and blamed Eve. Not long after this, T.C sent Liz packing when he desired to try and get back with Eve. The reconciliation fell through but T.C didn't resume his relationship with Liz who left Harmony in 2006.
  • Irma Johnson* is the opinionated sister of Warren Johnson, Eve's father. Eve was very close with her Aunt Irma when she was growing up but their relationship was ruined about 30 years ago when Irma discovered that Eve was a drug addict, prostitute and singer living in Boston who had become pregnant by a white man named Julian Crane. Liz used Irma to expose Eve's secrets to T.C..
  • Liz and Irma, while not actual members of the Russell family, are members of the Sanbourne/Johnson family and are thus relatives of Eve, her children and grandson. Their presence on this page is to reflect Eve's extended family.

  • Whitney Russell is the oldest daughter of T.C. and Eve. She was a tennis player and is good friends with Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. Whitney became involved with Chad Harris, who was unfortunately revealed to be her half-brother. Whitney gave birth to a son, Miles with Chad, who she tried to pass off as Fox Crane's son, she gave Miles up for adoption, and Chad adopted him. She started to work as a nun, and during the Vendetta storyline, it was revealed Chad was not really her brother, but the son of her mother's adopted sister, Liz Sanbourne, and Alistair Crane.
  • Simone Russell is the youngest daughter of T.C. and Eve. She started to became best friends with Kay Bennett and became her partner-in-crime to break up Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald and Charity Standish so Kay can have Miguel but it didn't work. Simone began having a secret when she came out as a lesbian with another woman. She told her parents about this as well as few friends such as Jessica Bennet but while her mother was moderately accepting of her daughter's lifestyle, her father didn't take the news well.
  • Chad Harris-Crane was thought to be the long lost and presumed dead son of Julian Crane and Eve Johnson. He grew up in Los Angeles on the streets after his parents abandoned him when he was eight and had been married to a woman named LaToya. Upon leaving L.A he followed up on a lead concerning the Harrises but proved unsuccessful in finding what he sought, although he did discover he was adopted and they were not his birth parents. He did meet and fall in love with Whitney. Eventually he would learn of his heritage after a heated rivalry openly developed between he and Fox Crane, as Fox loved Whitney as well. It was Fox who revealed that Whitney and Chad were siblings but when Whitney became pregnant she left Chad and got into a relationship with Fox to conceal the true paternity of her child with him. Chad would adopt Miles however, to Whitney's dismay but she would also reveal the truth. Much later it was revealed that Chad was not the son of Eve and Julian but rather the son of Liz and Alistair conceived out of rape and that Liz was adopted by Eve's mother and step-father. Chad has been cheating on Whitney for months but the two were recently wed.
  • Chad, while not an actual member of the Russell family, is a member of the Sanbourne family and is thus a relative of Eve, her children and grandson. His presence on this page is to reflect Eve's extended family.

  • Miles Harris is the son of Chad Harris and Whitney Russell. To avoid the shame committing of incest with him and to protect her son, Whitney, who was now in a relationship with Fox Crane tried to pass Miles off as his during the pregnancy. Whitney tricked Fox into giving her his power of attorney, at which point she gave Miles up for adoption. To Whitney's dismay, Chad adopted the child, wanting to keep Miles from suffering the way he did while not knowing Miles was his, yet feeling a strong connection to him, until Whitney finally revealed that Miles was indeed their son. Whitney and Chad were relieved when it was revealed that her mother's half-sister Liz was adopted and that she was actually Chad's mother, and Alistair Crane his father.
