Russell Robinson, Jr. (born January 24, 1986) is an American NCAA basketball player.

Russell Robinson was born to Theresa Robinson and Russell Robinson, Sr. in Bronx, New York. Russell attended Rice High School in New York City, where he was coached by Maurice Hicks. As a junior, he led his team with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals per game. His senior year, he averaged 22 points and eight rebounds. During his senior year he was the New York Newsday Manhattan Player of the Year, a New York Daily News All-City Team selection, and a CHSAA All-City Team honoree.[1]

Russell Robinson is a junior point guard for University of Kansas Jayhawks. Robinson is from New York City where he starred at Rice High School. Known as a tenacious defender, Coach Bill Self often refers to Robinson as the "glue" of the Jayhawk beasketball team. When Robinson is being introduced during player introductions at Allen Fieldhouse, public address announcer Hank Booth says "At guard, from New York...." and the crowd loudly repeats "New York!!!"..."number 3, Russell Robinson"...
