Russell Nicholson

Russell Nicholson was a member of Somerville, Massachusetts' "Winter Hill Gang" and a former MDC (Metropolitan District Commission) police officer, he was rumored to be the driver for James "Buddy" McLean during the assassination of Charlestown gangster Bernard McLaughlin. Nicholson, one of the only Protestant members of the gang, was later murdered by the surviving McLaughlin Brothers, Edward "Punchy" McLaughlin and George McLaughlin for his involvement in their brother's murder.
