Russell Hunter

Russell Hunter was a Scottish television actor born on February 18, 1925 who died February 26, 2004. His original name was Russell Ellis.

He is perhaps best known as the character Lonely in the TV series Callan (TV series) with Edward Woodward.

He performed in the very first Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1947.

Hunter's other TV credits include The Sweeney, Doctor Who, The Bill , A Touch of Frost and his last TV appearance was in the BBC drama Born and Bred.
