Running on Empty (comic)

Running on Empty is a comic strip written and illustrated by Daniel Beadle, which focuses mainly on dating, cars, and anti-social hijinks.

The comic first appeared in The Daily Collegian, the student newspaper of the [[University of Massachusetts, Amherst]]. [1] During this time, the comic featured two unnamed characters that were essentially representations of Beadle in high school (the optimist) and in college (the pessimist).

After graduation, Beadle converted the strip for use on his website, where it currently appears. This transition brought about a new cast, with a new, more aggressively irreverent sense of humor.
