[edit] History
Starting in 2001 the robot was developed in the final year projects of Nuno Moreira and Alexandre Rocha (students in Electrical engineering - Electronics and Computers of ISEP). A proposed scenario of operation was considered for the developement of a vison based navigation system. This scenario consists in the standard test proposed in the Portuguese Robotics Festival in the Autonomous Driving competition for university teams.
Since that several students participated in the anual Festival Nacional de Robótica event. Namely:
- Robótica 2002 took place from 24 to 27 of April on Pavilhão Aristides Hall in Aveiro, Portugal.
- Robótica 2003 took place from 8 to 11th of May in the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa (ex-FIL).
- Robótica 2004 took place from 22 to 25 of April at Pavilhão Rosa Mota in Oporto, Portugal.
- Robótica 2005 took place from 29 of April to 1 of May on Pavilhão Multi-Usos in Coimbra, Portugal.
- Robótica 2006 took place from 28 of April to 1 of May on Pavilhão Multi-Pavilhão Multiusos of Universidade de Minho, Portugal.
- Robótica 2007 will take place from 27 to 29 of April 2007 on Pavilhão Desportivo in Paderne (Albufeira), Algarve, Portugal.
