"Run" is the second single from Snow Patrol's third album, Final Straw. It was responsible for helping bring the band its first taste of mainstream success.

This song appeared on the Top Gear: The Ultimate Driving Experience album. It is also featured in the movies, The Chumscrubber and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, as well as the tenth episode of season two of Rescue Me, the trailer to The Guardian, an episode of Doctor Who Confidential, an episode of Cold Case, the closing scene of the pilot episode of CBS' 2006 series, Jericho and the BBC made for TV film adaptation of Wide Sargasso Sea.

"Run" also appeared as a track on Hear the Year 05, a compilation release by Jostens with the company's yearbooks. This CD comprised what they believed were the songs of the year.
