Rumble Racing is a PlayStation 2 racing video game from Electronic Arts.

Each car has three types of styles:

  • Rookie
  • Pro
  • Elite

Each car will mostly change in paint job and form. Some cars will have a lot of changes, some will not. Either way, each car is an excellent choice to use to win.

To unlock Pro and Elite the player has to win championship races. It gets harder as play progresses, but new cars can be unlocked along the way. To unlock cars, the player must have a score of first place. Higher points are awarded for first, second or third place. Placement also determines where the player is placed in subsequent races.

Power-ups help the player win or get pay-back on other cars. Power-ups include:

  • Invincible - protects the players car from harm
  • Oil slik - makes other cars lose traction
  • Bomb - blows up other cars if close enough
  • Freeze - freezes other cars so they can't turn
  • Landslide - rocks that jut out of the front of the player's car
  • Bad gas - slows down other cars
  • Big hit - an orange force field that impact other cars out of control
  • Shock wave - force that knocks other cars out of control
  • Boost - speeds up the player's car
  • Tornado - sucks up other cars for a short time
  • Joker- this can help or hurt you. The help is boost, grip, shock wave, landslide, and invincible. The hurt bad gas, oil slik
  • Grip- all tires spred out to make better grip, back tires are lit fire.
  • Tornados are normally found in despeate times, such as when the player's car is in eighth place.
  • Note some power-up cancel out others. All or vice-versa; Boost kills Bad Gas and Grip kills Oil slik. Invincible protects from all atacks.
  • The player can also lay some of the items down behind them, like bombs, snow blalls, landslide, gas tank, tornado. If the player lays it behind them, they will stay there until someone hits it. The player can get caught in some of their own items.
  • Also while racing a voice will talk to you to ease pressure, in some levels he will use a diffrent voice to say a phrase, like "Yup, this where they make thatdang dern oil slik power-ups. Not sure of his name but his voice is in tv shows such as "The Tick" and "Animaniacs."
