Talk:Rulers of Pate
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I´m very grateful to the editor that created and added most of the information on this list. I have just two small problems:
- Sources: there are none listed. I have left a question about it on User_talk:JohnArmagh, but I´ve got no reply, (I see that he has not contributed since late last year). I think I have a fairly good knowledge about litterature about the Lamu Islands, but cannot remember seeing such a list. Perhaps the list comes from a source which only list noble/royal lines?? Does anybody know??
*Style: I have tried to insert inf. about earlier rulers, but I have don´t understand the formatting. I think I will insert the inf. here, and leave it to an editor more technically experienced to incert it in the article. Huldra 22:11, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
I hope somebody can help and insert this into the article. Huldra 22:44, 14 February 2006 (UTC):
Term:
1688-1713, Bwana Mkuu, set up residency at Lamu, complete with a Lamu lady as one of his wives and a private mosque.
1713 -??, Bwana Tamu, decided to wage a war on Lamu in order to get guns that the Portugese had buried on the island, on Hedabu Hill. However, he overloaded his boats with fire-arms and they sank on the way to Lamu.
