Ruisrock

Ruisrock is a rock festival in Turku, Finland. It is arranged annually on the island of Ruissalo. Ruisrock, founded in 1970, along with the Netherlands's Pinkpop, is the oldest rock festival still in existence in the world.
Each summer, the top Finnish rock artists, such as Apocalyptica, HIM, The 69 Eyes and Children of Bodom along with famous international stars such as Iron Maiden and Rammstein, meet at Ruisrock to give the tens of thousands of visitors the musical party many have been waiting for all winter, where they may enjoy the warmer climate, swim and relax.
Bus 8 takes you to the sight of the festival from the city center in Turku and there is approximately a 20 minute walk from the bus stop to the stages. During the festival period the bus runs non stop between the festival sight and the city center. There is also a camping site on the island. There are plenty of sights to eat and buy merchandise.
