Rudy Clark
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rudy Clark is a prolific New York City songwriter, best known for composing the often covered soul classic, "The Shoop Shoop Song," more commonly known as "It's In His Kiss."
A close friend of Bobby Darin, Clark collaborated with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame singer on several hits including "Do The Monkey." He later received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song for his lead contribution in writing "Everybody Plays the Fool" by The Main Ingredient, in which the award went to "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" recorded by the Temptations. His song, "I've Got My Mind Set On You," was pivotal in ex-Beatle George Harrison's career comeback, hitting number one on the charts.
