Rudolph of Burgundy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are four 10th century kings known as Rudolph of Burgundy.

The other three Rudolphs, of whom the first was the above Rudolph's maternal uncle, were all known as King of Burgundy. Their kingdom included only Upper or Transjurane Burgundy (roughly, today's Franche-Comté and western Switzerland) until 933, when they acquired Provence. This enlarged kingdom was later to be known as the Kingdom of Arles.
