Rudolf Schenker (born August 31, 1948 in Hildesheim, Germany) is a German guitarist and founding member of Scorpions and the rhythm/lead guitarist of the band.

Schenker is widely considered by fans to be an underrated guitarist. While he used to play a Fender Stratocaster, he is primarily known for playing Gibson Flying Vs and Dean Vs. In the Acoustica DVD, he is seen playing a very interesting acoustic Flying V made by Dommenget, especially for him. He now uses Dean acoustic Vs.

In an interview, he once mentioned that his goal is not to become the best or fastest guitarist, but to be the greatest composer.

In most Scorpions songs, guitar solos are performed by lead guitarist Matthias Jabs, but there are some exceptions, such "Wind of Change", "Still Loving You", "As Soon As The Good Times Roll", "Through My Eyes", "Big City Nights", among others.

He is the older brother of Michael Schenker (who was a member of Scorpions in their early days). His sister Barbara Schenker is a regular caller on Clive Bull's phone-in show under the name of "Tallulah from Electric Parade".
