Rudolf Luneberg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rudolf Karl Luneberg (1903-1949) was a professor of mathematics and optics at the Dartmouth Eye Institute.

His work includes an analysis of the geometry of visual space as expected from physiognomy and the assumption that the angle of vergence provides a constant measure of distance. From these premises he concludes that near field visual space is hyperbolic.
