Rudelsburg

The castle ruin Rudelsburg is located on the eastern banks of river Saale near Bad Kösen in the district Burgenlandkreis of Saxony-Anhalt.
The construction of this castle was begun in 1050 with extensions in 1150. It is surrounded by the Memorials of the Kösener Senioren-Convents-Verband, the organisation of the oldest organisation of German Student Corps, which have their annual meetings at the Rudelsburg.
