Ruda Śląska (pronounced: ['ruda,ɕlɔ̃ska]) is a city in south Poland with 149,000 inhabitants (2001),
It is situated in the Silesian Voivodship (since 1999), having previously been in Katowice Voivodship (1975-1998). The town is divided into the following neighbourhoods: Bielszowice, Bykowina, Chebzie, Godula, Halemba, Kochłowice, Nowy Bytom, Orzegów, Ruda, and Wirek.
