Rubenstein's Revenge

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rubenstein's revenge is a 3-ball toss juggling pattern named after its inventor, Rick Rubenstein. It combines elements from Mills Mess, chops and orbits into a complex pattern, with hands crossing and un-crossing each other.

[edit] Description

Alternating balls are retained in the hand for an extra two beats while being "orbited" around the ball that follows the "held ball". The following ball then becomes the preceding ball. The ball that is retained in the hand moves backwards through the pattern. Rubenstein's revenge is the hardest of the three main cascade distortions: Burke's Barrage, Mills Mess, and, of course, Rubenstein's revenge. A video link can be found in the external links that demonstrates this maneuver. As with "Inside Out", Rubenstein's Revenge is astonishingly impressive when performed smoothly.
