From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ruben Costas Aguilera is the governor of Santa Cruz. He is one of the nine Bolivian governors elected directly by the people in the general elections of 2005. Before this, governors were appointed by the president.

Since he took office, he has been strongly critical of the government of President Evo Morales trying to become leader of the virtual inexistent country's opposition.
