[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Ponchomon, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text borrowed from web sites. For more information, take a look at our policy library. Happy editing! Zzyzx11 (Talk) 21:45, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Rtkat3, I appreciate your work, but the articles you are creating lack the basic information to put into context, like Togemogumon - it doesn't even tell you that it's a kind of Digimon. I suggest you look at Agumon for an example of a well written Digimon article. Cheers. Zocky 23:25, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Rtkat3, could you please add to the end of all of your Digimon articles? I'm getting a bit tired of searching back and editing the ones you've done. Kel-nage 23:47, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
A bit of a modified request to the above one... I am sorting all the Digimon into levels because the main Digimon category was too large. Instead of adding , can you add the proper level-based sub-category? CanadaGirl 00:32, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] X Program Digimon

It would be worthwile to describe the X program in the article, to provide context for the digimon. Thanks, Ingoolemo talk 00:29, 2005 Jun 10 (UTC)

[edit] conventions

Hello. Could you try to follow the highlighting and capitalization conventions when you create new articles? Michael Hardy 8 July 2005 22:59 (UTC)

OK, I'll be more specific. See wikipedia:Manual of Style. You should highlight the title word or title phrase at its first appearance, like this'. You should not assume that the reader knows what a digimon is (I don't, for example), so you should at the very least link to it. I suspect you're using too many capital letters in things like Reptile Digimon. Michael Hardy 8 July 2005 23:03 (UTC)

[edit] Lists of trivia and "coming soon"

I appreciate your enthusiasm for adding information to Wikipedia, but some of what you're adding isn't really appropriate for an encyclopedia. One of Wikipedia's standards is "notability", which means that trivia such as which minor characters died in Crisis, or a list of every character to appear in the series, doesn't belong. And Wikipedia articles should not have "coming soon" placeholders in them, which is why I took that out once already. When someone takes something out that you put in, please find out why before you put it back. They usually have a sound reason for it. Tverbeek 00:16, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Page blanking

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! Alphax τεχ 07:37, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wiki links

Hi: I just noticed that you had gone through American Dragon: Jake Long piping all the plural wiki links (changing Ogres to Ogres. You do not need to do this because the MediaWiki software interprets the first gform to give the same result as the second. Piping as you did does no harm but it is a waste of your time. I like your enthusiasm. —Theo (Talk) 23:05, 22 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Noki

Thanks for your efforts at improving our computer and video game articles, but please leave the Noki article as a redirect. It was decided by consensus to merge the content of Noki into Super Mario Sunshine and leave Noki as a redirect. You can view the results of the discussion at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Noki. --Pagrashtak 03:17, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

This is an ongoing problem. Please stop changing this article back. Dmcdevit·t 17:27, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
I must ask you again - please stop removing the redirect at Noki. Since Noki is a redirect, please stop linking to the Noki article as well, as you have been doing at the Pianta article. I think you mean well, but this was decided by consensus, as noted above. If you continue in this manner, some Wikipedians may construe your edits as vandalism. --Pagrashtak 00:00, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] AOL IP unblocked

I'm sorry that you found yourself blocked today. I imposed a temporary block on a disruptive vandal to stop them defacing the user pages of various users. I kept the block to a minimum because it is an AOL IP address, and AOL has rather odd way of constantly reassigning them. I had hoped the block would have cleared by the time that a genuine user connecting through AOL wanted to edit, but unfortunately you hit the tailend of the edit. I've manually removed the remaining time on the block. Unfortunately, the only tool we have against vandals from AOL is to block them for a short time. If you find yourself automatically blocked in the future, it is praobably because AOL has given you the IP address of blocked vandal. You might be able to disconnect and then reconnect to get a different IP address, and we try to keep the blocks short. I apologize for the inconvenience. --Gareth Hughes 16:37, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

Just so you know, several articles you created about teen titans members have been marked as copyright violations, as they were copied and pasted directly from TitansTower.com. [edit] Sources for Ghost Writer

Hello, good work on Ghost Writer, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Can you list in the article any websites, books, or other sources that will allow people to verify the content in Ghost Writer? You can simply add links, or see WP:CITET for different citation methods. Thanks!  BRIAN0918  13:54, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Can't unblock someone who isn't blocked

Hi, Rtkat3. Further to your e-mail, I've checked the block log for your user name, and there's no sign that you've been blocked. I note, though, that you have been unblocked on three occasions, having been apparently affected by a block to an IP. If I don't know what your IP address is, I can't unblock it. I tried to "unblock" your username, although it wasn't actually blocked, and nothing seemed to happen. I'm sorry about the inconvenience. if you send me your IP address, I'll look into it further. Or, if it's a dynamic IP address, perhaps you should just disconnect from the internet, and then connect again. Cheers. AnnH (talk) 17:06, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] apparent block

There is no block on Rtkat3, which means you may be affected by an IP block or an IP autoblock. This particularly affects users who use an ISP that puts multiple users on the same set of IP addresses (for instance AOL). To make it possible to track down which autoblock might be affecting you, you should provide the full text of the "you've been blocked" message that you get. -- Curps 02:41, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

I've overridden the latest autoblock. Thanks for your patience. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 02:26, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

If you are blocked again, take note of the IP address it says you have - then we will be able to help you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:09, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

You must provide the IP address that it lists on the "You have been blocked" page, otherwise I can't do anything. — 0918BRIAN • 2006-03-5 16:22

The latest AOL autoblock should be gone now. However, autoblocks are a recurring problem for AOL IPs and there is no good solution and not much that admins can do about it. -- Curps 05:12, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:BIO

Please see WP:BIO for a guideline on inclusion of biographies. For example, Joseph_Pilato probably wouldn't be considered significant enough to warrant a biography by most people. Just because someone is a voice actor doesn't make them encyclopedic, any more than being a bicycle repair man or telephone sanitizer would. If someone has won a significant award for voice acting, that's another story of course. While digimon itself is popular enough to have an article, we don't need biographies on every single person involved in producing cartoons. Friday (talk) 21:44, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] use edit summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

[edit] Capitalization in headings

Just thought I would let you know, according to the Manual of Style, headers only have the first word and proper nouns should be capitalized. For example, ===Special Evolution=== should be ===Special evolution===. Other than that, thanks for all the hard work you've been doing on the Digimon articles! And I'd like to extend an invitation to you to join WikiProject Digimon Systems Update, which aims to improve Digimon related articles on Wikipedia. -- Ned Scott 05:39, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

And please don't remove the digi-stub tag when the article is still a stub. If you feel the article is complete for the information covered, you can use the new "semi-stub" tag 1, as the articles are usally still considered stubs by Wikipedia. -- Ned Scott 08:11, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to the Digimon Systems Update WikiProject

Thanks for joining the project!

Basically, being apart of a WP:DIGI means you'll help organize, expand, clean up, and guide Digimon related articles on Wikipedia. You can also help create guidelines and discuss issues about Digimon-related articles. If you're new, don't be afraid about making mistakes, Wikipedia has a lot to take in. More importantly, use common sense and make good faith efforts to follow the guidelines. No one is expected to know all of them, and sometimes they don't even apply, so you don't always know until you make an edit.

If you are unsure about something you can always make a note on it's discussion page (the link for each article's discussion page is next to the edit this page link) for asking for help or even just asking for other people's suggestions and feedback.

Remember to not violate copyrights, such as cutting and pasting exact info from other Digimon websites isn't allowed. Cite where information you add came from (episode appearance, manga, card game info, etc). And remember that Wikipedia isn't a fan-site, the articles should contain information that is useful and interesting to those who have not seen the shows or played the card games.

Again, welcome to the WikiProject. Check out the links on the Project page and familiarize yourself with the guidelines and advice we have so far, and definitely check out the talk page and get involved there as well, with opinions and any ideas you have. And make sure you add the project page and the to do list to your watch list so you can keep up to date with the Project. -- Ned Scott 23:36, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summaries

When editing an article, there is a small field labeled "Summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

It is highly recommended that one fill in the edit summary field, as it makes it easier for you and your fellow contributors to understand what has changed, and is helpful when going through the history of the page. Also, multiple edits to the same page in quick succession without edit summaries may be interpretted as vandalism. Use the Show Preview button before saving a page. [edit] Previews (also strongly consider edit summaries noted above above)

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. [edit] WikiProject Narnia

Hi, Rtkat3, and thanks for your contributions to the article List of Narnian creatures! I thought you may be care to know that there is a WikiProject working to improve articles about Narnia, and your help would be greatly appreciated. Please consider joining the WikiProject Narnia. Thank you! Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 22:49, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

All you have to do is add three tildes ~ to the Participants list. There's no commitment, but you can get yourself acquainted with the ways of the project, adopt an article, check out the to-do list and the Portal, read the character article example… there's lots of stuff to do, but putting your name on the list and checking back in every once in a while for discussion on the talk page should about do it. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 23:11, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
It's not very important that you add your name to the Participants list, except notifying us that you're willing to take part. But to do so, copy what's between the arrows and paste it into the participants list: >~~~<. Also, you can add, if you like, User Narnia-WP to your user page. Then, get started with one of the tasks listed on the project page. This mostly consists of "adopting an article," which is taking a stub and bringing it to a better class. Hopefully, pretty soon we'll get a "collaboration of the month" going, where we take an article and do our best to make it a featured article! When we think we have enough active membership in the project we'll get this Collaboration started, so that's where putting your name on the list is actually useful. Good luck! --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 21:46, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Blank Edit summaries

Hi. You have being reminded again to always provide an edit summary. If you do not want AntiVandalBot software to think you are vandalising a page, I suggest strongly that you use it. A few words like "Add Catagory" or "Copy Edit" goes a long way. Thanks and happy edits. Gohiking τ

[edit] List of Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy monsters

Please do not remove cleanup tags from articles until the article has gone through a thorough cleanup. The majority of the articles in the List of Power Rangers monsters series are in GREAT NEED of complete re-writes, as they are not written in an encyclopedic tone, often have grammatical and factual errors, or worse. Your contributions to these articles are welcome, but continued removal of cleanup tags may result in some form of discipline. JPG-GR 02:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

What is your problem!?! What is wrong with adding what the last words are stop deleting them, there is nothing wrong with it you jerk! JUST STOP IT NOW!!!!!

[edit] VRT pics

Some Wiki editors removed them because they did not fit the fair use critera. Rather than reuploading them with tags and rationales (which is pain to do), I came up with another way to show to pics to everyone w/o getting into conflict with fair use stuff. It'll take some time before the pics will be viewed again; as for your requests, no problem, it'll just be a while first. Pitstain 09:32, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Please stop flooding articles with monster-of-the-week images. Not only is it a violation of Wikipedia's fair use policy, but it's annoying: those images serve no point, and only make the entire article hard to read. jgp TC 19:53, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Digimon merge tags

Please don't remove the merge tags from the Digimon articles. It's been pretty clear for a while now that we shouldn't have individual articles for each Digimon. This has been supported in many AfDs, similar discussions, at WP:DIGI, and our notablility guidelines at WP:FICT. A discussion notice regarding the merges has been present on every Digimon's talk page for a few months now, so maybe you should bring any concerns you have to the discussion first? -- Ned Scott 02:18, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

(Replied on my talk page and forgot to reply here e.e)

I've looked at the Tokyo Black Cat Girl manga, and there doesn't seem to be very many different types of Bakus, not enough to make an article.

And the manga Chimera Animas.... Yea, I'm working on on that, just very, very slowly. --MessengerCrow13 ~Listen*To*Your*Heart*Beat~ *talk*contributions* 16:06, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Night at the Museum

Thank you for your edit to NATM. However, your edit added almost 1,200 words to the plot. It is now almost 2,000 words long and contradicts the Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines and WP:Films, which state that a plot summary should be no longer than 400-700 words. Please do not add so much detail since the article is not a summary for seeing the movie. Keep editing!!! ~Gatorgirl623~ 23:16, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] chimera anima

Why the hell do you keep on moving the "confusion of correct translation"?? What annoys me more, is that you DO NOT even bother to write up a summary to why you always move it. I've aleady told you to tell me why you keep on moving it, and you still ignore me, so if my tone is rather negitive, it most definitaly is.

I have already told you why I say it should be at the beginning of the article, and you have not said 1 word why it should be moved down. Let me refresh you memory, since I highly doubt you remember.

Many fans dont know the correct translation. They keep saying it is "animal" when it is not. This maybe cause Tokyopop translated 2 ways. That would confuse anyone. Fans keep on debating what is the correct trnaslation, so it is not really clear to many fans who is right and who is wrong.

I expect you will actually respond. "THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED!" 22:32, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Well why didnt you say anything? I felt like I was just typing for no reason. "THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED!" 02:08, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

"I will try to start a page called "List of minor characters in Tokyo Mew Mew" soon. I've seen the Japanese episodes (with subtitles) on YouTube once. Rtkat3 (User talk:Rtkat3) 8:58, 5 February 2007 (UTC)" (Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Angelofdeath275")

I've already made a list on my user sub-page (there is a link to it from my main user page). I can add info from the original anime, too, you can help me, then this stuff can be moved to the articles. Yume no Kishi

Now I have no clue how to merge your minor characters list with mine... I mean, I was trying to add their names in kanji and such, but because of the font of the headers it looks awful... Yume no Kishi

I said - I don't know where to place the kanji, since you made characters' names into headers. If you have any ideas, you can take the kanji from my page and place them wherever you like. This stuff should be on the page, too, I think. Yume no Kishi

I was thinking about adding more stuff to the Minor Characters List... Since I'm going to add kanji for the names and the names' translations as I watch random episodes and write out the names from the ending credits, maybe add the "Name Pronunciation" thing, too, like in the main characters' articles? Or it'll be too much info for such a long page? Yume no Kishi

Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rabbitmon and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Rabbitmon during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. • The WikiProject has been a little quiet lately. There are still quite a lot of Narnia stubs. It has been nearly three months since we last worked on Minor characters in The Chronicles of Narnia, which still looks very much like a draft page. That would be a nice article to get into the main namespace.

To-do
 1. Add characters and bios to minor character draft page.
 2. Expand Narnia stubs.
 3. Place links to the Narnia Portal on article pages by using Narnia.
 4. Add the stub template Narnia-stub to articles in the category Category:Stub-Class Narnia articles so that there are the same number of articles in Category:Narnia stubs.

I am proud to present our first issue of the WikiProject Narnia Newsletter. I decided that we needed to alert everybody who had expressed interest in the project that there is much work to be done! Please check in every once in a while at the project talk page, and tell other project members what you've been up to in terms of Narnia articles.

Article of the Month: Edmund Pevensie
 • Edmund Pevensie is a major character in The Chronicles of Narnia. He appears as a principal character in three of the seven books. Edmund was the second to enter Narnia, although he tried to betray his siblings to the White Witch. However, Edmund managed to help save Narnia by neutralizing the White Witch's most powerful weapon, her wand.
Collaboration of the Month: Shasta (Narnia)
 • Shasta is currently quite short and not much of his background has been mentioned. The article also lacks images – but make sure if you upload one, you include a FU rationale. Contribute!

Also, may I advise you to archive your talk page? ;) --The preceding comment was signed by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs) 10:19, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Its and it's

Hi Rtkat3,

Thank you for your many contributions to Wikipedia. However, some of your recent contributions indicate you may not understand the difference between it's and its. "It's" means "it is" or "it has". "It's" never means "belonging to it". "Its" means "belonging to it". On February 16th, I cleaned up the article Gorgom, removing incorrect instances of "it's" where "its" is correct. Today I went back in and fixed it again. I noticed you were the one adding all those "it's"; I've just fixed 16 incorrect instances of "it's" on that page.

Your contributions to Wikipedia are deeply appreciated, and you shouldn't at all feel embarrassed about the mistake, because many people make the same error. However, we want Wikipedia to look as professional as possible, and that includes trying to correct any spelling errors or typos which have found their way into the text. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 18:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Doesn't it make it uncomfortable if all the pictures are all stacked on the right hand side and crunched off the section each are intended to be in?

Well? --Addict 2006 00:17, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
