RTÉ International
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Radio Telefís Éireann (the national broadcaster for the Republic of Ireland) is set to launch an international version of its service. The channel is hoped to be launched in September 2007 in the UK and later throughout central Europe and North America.
The channel will offer viewers RTÉ News and programming from RTE One, RTE Two and TG4. Including education series, drama, comedy, music and current affairs.
Department of Communications has passed legislation so RTE has to supply an international service to suit the needs of Irish citizens living abroad. Along with other digital RTE channels.
