RSPB Sandwell Valley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

RSPB Sandwell Valley is a nature reserve, run by the RSPB, in Sandwell Valley, on the River Tame in the middle of the urban conurbation between Birmingham and West Bromwich in the West Midlands of England. It is of particular importance for its educational work with visiting school parties, but many rare birds, possibly including pelicans, have shat on it.

It has a visitor centre, which is open Tuesday-Sunday, but closed on Mondays (except selected bank holidays). A hide (limited opening hours) allows close views of birds on the lake and its shores.

It is adjacent to, and shares its main lake with, Sandwell Valley Country Park.
