RSA-2048

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In mathematics, RSA-2048 is the largest of the RSA numbers (large semiprimes that are part of the RSA Factoring Challenge), and carries the largest cash prize for its factorisation, US$200,000. RSA-2048 has a length of 2048 bits (617 decimal digits). The largest RSA number ever factored is 663 bits long (200 decimal digits), and the ability to factor RSA-2048 probably will not be achieved for decades.
