RPGClassics is a website that was launched in 1997 by six people to cover the Final Fantasy series, and has since then grown to cover over 100 games. It feature shrines, which are sections of the site that provide extensive information about a single RPG, including game data, walkthroughs, and tips.

The site is governed by a semi-oligarchic, semi-democratic process by each member of the site staff may cast one vote in any polls about a decision that affects the website. Regular users may not partake in site decisions, but may become members of the staff by creating a new shrine.

The site boasts a friendly and welcoming forum, with a heavy basis on Anime and RPG oriented topics. The forum population has several 'main characters' such as Sinistral, the stalwart site founder, waster of lamers, incredible intellectual and bearer of the burden that is the perpetual comparisons made between him and Tommy the Green Ranger. The charismatic Charlemange inhabits the forum, a legend whose razor wit, seething satirical commentary and general insanity have made his posts the stuff of forum myth and legend.
