Rozhen Observatory is an astronomical observatory located at 90 km south of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The nearest town is Chepelare, at 15 km. It is owned and operated by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The Observatory is the biggest one in South Eastern Europe. About 50 researches are currently working there. It is recognised as the regional centre for astronomical research.
